The building.
We arrived at the hotel at 6pm on a Monday with the intention of having a relaxing 2 days using all of the hotels facilities, on arrival the bar was closed as they had no staff to man it, had a very expensive poor quality evening meal. Decided to use the pool on Tuesday but it is not open on Tuesdays,went out for the day on return decided to give the restaurant another try but it is closed on Tuesdays, had to drive out of the area to eat as there are no open retaurants in the village. There are no Spa facilities ,Won't be going back in a hurry.

Very nice place.Real castle!
I think the castle is used more for some corporative events.We were on the second place. The toilet room was uncomfortable.

"Exactly what is says on the tin !" Wonderful and very nice staff. I have stayed here for business on 4 occasions, and every time very good, this time with the family, and again very good. Those wishing a hotel with a complete difference you will not be dissapointed. I do not like chain hotels, that's exactly why I stay here. Restaurants available in the hotel, and, next village 1 to 2 mins direction Cantú (Montesalaro) are excellent. There you will find an Osteria left side of road past the speed bumps (green sun canopy outside on road) and Steak House right side 50mtrs further - renowned for it's Pizza's and you will not be dissapointed. For those who know your Pizza's, these are with Fresh Sugo and all the best ingredients, "just try them and very funny staff ! On entry to that village you do pass 2 other restaurants and have been advised to avoid them. So, pass over the speed bumps and you will be ok and you find the other two good ones as mentioned above. Standard prices and excellent food at both ! Makes a real pleasant weekend
Problem with the heating system when we stayed. You cannot turn down (or off) the heater in the bathroom. I had a travel Thermometer with me and overnight was reading 47°c !!!!! Very very uncomfortable indeed. Mentioned it at reception 3 times. It was like a sauna ! Spa is a little overpriced a €30 adults and same for kids. Having said that, only 6 persons allowed in at any time....

Caring and helpful staff and management. Very good location for people who prefer to learn the local history and culture, apart from golfers and shopping goers. Exceptional quality of food and cuisine. Spa facilities ar good and environment is relaxing.
